Xiaomi 8 Series is Finally Here!

If you’re looking for a great-looking Android smartphone that also happens to be inexpensive, you might want to check out the brand new Xiaomi 8 series. It’s priced far less than any flagship smartphones out there, and it has lots of cool features and capabilities.

In this article, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about the new Xiaomi 8 lineup, including where to buy it and how much it costs. We’ll also discuss what makes these phones stand out from their competitors and help you make your decision on whether or not they are right for you!

1) Overview

After a lot of speculation, the Xiaomi Mi 9 was finally unveiled on March 27th. The Xiaomi Mi 9 has a 6.5 AMOLED display with an in-screen fingerprint scanner and dual camera setup. It also features 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 3400mAh battery.

So far, we have seen that it costs $515 (3998 yuan) for the base model and $585 (4498 yuan) for the high end model. Compared to other competitors’ flagships like Samsung’s Galaxy S10e ($599), Google’s Pixel 3a XL ($499), and Huawei’s P30 Pro ($669), Xiaomi Mi 9 offers more bang for your buck.

There are some downsides to this device though - the phone doesn't come with NFC, so you can't use mobile payments and contactless tickets, plus there's no wireless charging as well.

If you're looking for a new flagship without breaking the bank, then check out the Xiaomi Mi 9! The company has been known for providing devices with great specs at competitive prices.

They've yet to release any US models but their international counterparts should be hitting shelves soon. Be sure to subscribe if you want updates on when they do! What do you think about the Xiaomi Mi 9? Comment below!

2) The Big 4

The biggest new features in the Xiaomi 8 series are its OLED screens. With a 19.5:9 ratio, these displays are capable of showing more content than the traditional 16:9 ratio.

The larger screens also allow for a higher resolution of 1,080 x 2,244 pixels per inch (PPI). This means that you'll be able to see crisper text and images on your phone without having to zoom in or use other tricks.

In addition to being better for watching videos and playing games, this is a big deal if you're doing any kind of work from your phone.

The most common criticism about the Xiaomi 8s when they were first announced was their lack of support for microSD cards. Luckily, it seems like Xiaomi has taken note because the new version will come with up to 256GB internal storage as well as two SIM card slots!

We can't wait to get our hands on one and put it through some rigorous testing so we can show you how good it really is. If you want one for yourself, pre-orders start at noon ET today!

The phones cost $370 for 128 GB, $420 for 256 GB, and $360 for 6/128 GB respectively. But don't forget - there's free global shipping available!

What do you think of the specs? Will you be getting one too? Let us know in the comments below! It’s no secret that many people feel cheated when the promised product doesn’t match what was advertised.

When Xiaomi unveiled their Mi 8 series earlier this month, many expected an affordable handset with high-end specifications including dual cameras and an 18:9 screen.

What they got instead were expensive devices with poor battery life and high prices starting at 3200 yuan (~$475) for just 64GB of storage.

3) Specs

The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a 6.21-inch AMOLED screen with a FHD+ resolution of 1080x2160 pixels, and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio for a near bezel-less design. The phone also has an aluminum frame with a curved glass back and stainless steel fingerprint scanner on the back.

It will have four different storage options including 64GB/128GB/256GB/512GB. In terms of RAM, the Mi 8 will have either 4 or 6 GB but not more than that due to battery limitations. It will have 3 rear cameras at 12MP, 20MP, and 2MP respectively; there's also a front camera which can take Portrait selfies.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845 processor and packs a whopping 4000 mAh battery. At only 158g, it weighs significantly less than the iPhone XS Max (202g). The Mi 8 will start from 1999 RMB for the 4GB/64GB variant. There are going to be five colors available in total: black, blue, white, gold and red.

Lastly, the phone will come with MIUI 10 based on Android Oreo 8.1. In addition, this will be the first Xiaomi phone with Project Treble support. We'll keep you updated as soon as we know more!

According to info released so far, Xiaomi plans to release three phones under its newly announced series. According to previous leaks, these phones include two high-end models and one budget model.

From what we know so far, these phones will be launched under three code names - Barra, Cristal and Colette.

4) What’s in the Box?

The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE has a 5.88-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and an 84% screen-to-body ratio.

The phone also features an in-display fingerprint sensor (which unlocks the device in 0.2 seconds) and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that can be expanded to 256GB with a microSD card.

It packs a 3060mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, wireless charging support and NFC connectivity for mobile payments.

The camera setup includes 12MP dual rear cameras - one of which has a telephoto lens - as well as 20MP front shooter for selfies. You get AI scene detection, AI portrait mode and HDR too.

The all new Face Unlock feature works by scanning over 100 points on your face for identification. What’s not so great is that it requires more light than other methods of unlocking the phone.

Another downside is that it cannot be used when wearing glasses or contact lenses since they obscure facial contours, but it works great if you don’t wear them often. If you like being able to unlock your phone with a swipe, then this may not be the best option for you.

But if you need something fast and accurate without having to type in a passcode every time, then this might just work. For the selfie lovers out there, the new 24 MP Sony IMX576 sensor with 1/2 inch large pixels makes it possible to take clearer shots at night without any blurriness.

And for those who love gaming on their phones?
